Thread: Finding the perfect chiffon skirt

I'm looking to buy a few good quality circle skirts over to beef up the "interchangeable" section and I'd like to start with a black skirt, but I'm having trouble finding one that is of the really heavy chiffon (like what Pharaonics uses for the butterfly costume skirts) as it would ideally have 2 layers and be relatively opaque (a slit or two would be nice, but not required).

Are there any suppliers out there that carry this type of black skirt? Would it be better to contact L.Rose and see what kind of chiffon she has in stock/uses?

The Bellydance store and Dahlal seel good quality double chiffon skirts. You could order some Pharonix Arabesque skirts. I have several of them and they are fabulous-really snazz up any bra and belt set :)

I'm looking for a double layered chiffon skirt (ruffled edge) - with both layers at full length - but everyone seems to have them tiered.
Where are they???

I have a circle skirt from Dahlal and its very good quality and just barely transparent. Its the chiffon circle skirt with beaded trim (and for caasious, both layers are the same length!).

There is a seperate underskirt and the really full over skirt that has the sequins. I find that I dont need to wear the underskirt since they are soooo full!

Caasious - Me too! I have short legs, so the tiered look makes them look even shorter.

Basina - Thanks for the info! It's good to know! Does the trim come in gold or silver? I'm hoping to find one without committing to a metal color preferably.

Thanks Monsoondancer! I hate to pester you with another question, but I would love to know what the underskirt looks like. Is it straight? Restrictive? Would anyone notice it?

Personally I love circle skirts with super high slits and retro awesomeness, but being picky about fabric, they become difficult to find.
