Thread: Who took advantage of Dahlal's Pharonics Costume Guarantee

I was curious as to how many bhuzers took advantage of the Sale/Costume Guarantee that Dahlal offered recently. I think it was order by November 30 and get your costume by January 15.

Eek, I did it. I totally don't need any more costumes but couldn't resist. I've been waiting since February of '09 for a Pharonics from Audrena. I swore after this last experience I'd never do another custom order and stick to the swap pages. But, I'm so short that it's hard to find stuff that fits without significant alteration.

I ordered the "Egyptian Beauty" in a yellowy gold and the "Ancient Echoes" AKA the "Samia Gamal" in Aubergine.

Now, I just need to sell off the two costumes I own that don't fit well. Not having much luck with that either here or on Ebay.

What did you order?

I missed even knowing about this. Was it though email? They have a couple in stock that I've been eying, though.

It was by email. I think the sale goes through today. You could probably get in on the deal if you do it today. They required a 25% down payment and the rest is due when the costumes arrive. So it was only around $170 down. Plus, you can pay on it a little at a time until January, which is my plan.

Meh. I can get a Legend in 3 weeks or a Bella in 6 ,r:; And I have one of each on the way

It's too bad Dahlal can't somehow lock in tighter lead times year-round. This is a sweet deal now, but I remember waiting 9 months to finally receive a custom-made Eman that didn't even fit ,m::

I got 5 in stock from Dahlal that are my size: instant gratification!! The custom Pharonics I ordered is beautiful (from the lovely Audreena), but it took 9 months, so maybe yours will arrive soon:)

I seriously thought about it..but decided not too as I have more Bellas on the way. I dbe interested inhearing if those who did do the order actually do get there costumes by Jan 15th- If so I hope DAHLAL does it again soon :)

I'm really surprised more people haven't chimed in about this. I figured lots of dancers would have ordered one at such a good price and delivery time.

I'm sure it's just another sign of the crappy economy. Lots of pretty costumes at crazy low prices are just sitting on the swap page too.

The Samia Gamal is my dream costume. I didn't see an Ancient Echoes costume anywhere under the Pharonics section.

i never got the email :( i dont think most did. i never got their other email about getting 20% off, i think i just saw that in the gallery on bhuz yesterday.

It's not on their website anywhere. Lucky for me, Salsabelly had seen it in one of their old newsletters and sent me the link. Once I knew what they called the costume and could point them to a photo of it (not another vendors photo) I just emailed them and asked them if they could order it for me. They really ought to put it back up on their web site. Alot of dancers love that costume and would buy it if it was there.

After hearing about all of the long wait experienced by so many others, I think I'll pass on Dahlal and keep most of my ordering through the Bellydance Store.

I have a custom order in with Audrena right now so I couldn't take advantage of the Dahlal order.

I am hoping that the Audrena order comes in sometime around February/March - I ordered in mid October and she said 3 months. So I figure - a bit more than 3 months.

I read about the sale on Dahlal's Facebook page. If you are Dahlal's Facebook friend, it's easy to keep up with all the current deals!

Same here. I get the newletter in the mail but I haven't gotten any e-mails from them and I know that I put down my e-mail address when I signed up.

Thought I would ressurect this thread as January 15th is coming up. Im either going to kick myself for not ordering a couple of Pharonixs or be glad I didnt! Has anyone who took advantage of Dahlals offer heard any status on their cossies???

Dahlal called me a couple of weeks ago to tell me one of the costumes couldn't be made in my fabric color choice because they had run out of that color. I just switched colors and kept the order coming. So, no news yet on when they will arrive for me. I'm kind of assuming the Jan. 15 meant the costume would be done by then, but then there is shipping time and customs to deal with.

Me too. When they come, I'll post it here on their thread. Hopefully if this is successful, Dahlal will do it again.

I just wanted to update everyone that I got an email from Dahlal today saying my costumes were done and on the way. The guarantee said they would be ready on January 15 and they are. I can't wait 'till they come.

Now, if I could only get the other Pharonics from Audrena that I ordered 11 MONTHS AGO!!!!! Grumble, grumble, grumble. I will NEVER order another costume from her.

Fantastic!! Darn it! I wish I had done it then! Has anybody else done this offer and cossies are on their way?? Post some pics when you get them :)

I'd be surprised if Dahlal doesn't do this again in the future. It looks like alot of people didn't get the news about it last time. If I see them doing it again, I'll post it here in the costuming forum. I'm thrilled that they delivered on a promise they made and it makes me more inclined to work with them again when they're doing another guarantee deal.

I have both of my costumes in my hands today. I ordered them on 11/24/09. I LOVE the ancient echos (aka Samia). The egyptian beauty is really more yellow than gold. I like it and I chose the color, but I'm not lovin' it. I really like the skirt that came with it, so I may keep the skirt and sell the bedlah.

Oh, and they both fit great so no problems there.
