    upgrading silver bedlah

i have a basic silver bedlah that i bought a while ago from sparkling queen on ebay so that i would have something i can just make skirts and arm-things for (here's the same one on BD store: Belly Dance Costumes | Belly Dance Store.com: gallery)
except for the wall of fringe on the bra and my short torso, it looks ok on me. BUT every time i wear it, i loose at least one full strand of fringe, if not more. also, while the belt is almost too big, the bra cups are too small (and shaped like a duck bill rather than a human breast)
i've been keeping it together but after an attempt to squeeze a little more coverage out of it resulted in LESS coverage im a little fed up with it.
does anyone have recommendations for a sturdy solid silver bedlah for a girl with-apparently- high nips? in theory i'm a b, but when i make my own bras i get a c to get the coverage and then add an obscene amount of padding to fill them out. should i post this on in-search-of instead?

Ahhh...the old mango boob. I like a bra that is shaped like this U-U rather than \-/ as it gives more coverage without bigger cups and the nips don't go wandering about. Gravity is your Friend in a demi cup.

I have that exact bedleh! The cups are pretty odd but I'm just amazed they cover my bosom at all. I've been making a few changes, mostly by cutting about five inches off the belt and back and adding some extra shinies.

Don't know what to do about the bra shape - but if you saturate all the knots on the fringe with Fray Check that should hopefully stop the strands from dropping off.

You could maybe take apart the bra and use the supples to make a new bra that fits you better. You could bring it to a seamstress as well and see what they might charge.

If you're willing to spend a little more moola, I love the "Back to Basics" line from Dahlal International and you can get it customized to your shape.

Definitely support the fray check on the ends of the fringe. That really helps.

i WISH the beads were falling off the end of the string. what's actually happening is the entire string pops off from the base. maybe the beads are sharp and cut the thread? another troupe i know uses these and i bought it on their recommendation. i've watched them more and realize that their style is much less energetic than mine. ("fast only!" at the restaurant im at means a lot of shimmies too..c::)
i'll look into applying the sparkly part to another base. the beading is all along one string, so one wrong snip and everything will unravel, so im hesitant to do many alterations.

dahal's beyond basics, are they durable? the shape of the cup (the edge curving up) seems more covering, have the beads and fringe stayed on for you?

I moved the cups on my costume, they curve into football shapes normally. The beads are fine and stay in place but the fringe is flimsy and needed some reinforcement.
