Thread: Sharif Skirts

Anyone know how to make skirts like this?

It's a trumpet skirt. I owned a similar one from Sharifwear. It's 6 rectangles and 6 triangles.

Take your lower hip measurement and divide it by 6, this is how wide to make your rectangles. Make them a couple of inches longer than desired skirt length to account for waistband and hem. Make 6 triangles that go from the top of your knee to the floor. Sew all 12 pieces together, roll top down an inch to make a waistband and hem.

Tada, trumpet skirt.

Oh, forgot to mention. This is for stretch fabrics only.
