Thread: Eye bling?

Hi Everyone!

Does anyone have a good source for eye bling? I am looking for sparkly stick on or glue on reusable eye crystals for the corners of your eyes.

Am I making any sense? Sorry, it is early...

I use the little crystals they sell that are meant to be used on your nails. You can find a bunch of them cheap at your local drug store. I don't even bother re-using them because they're so cheap

Go to a fabric/notions place that sells real Swarovski, flat-back crystals. They do not cost much, never scratch or fade, and are uber bling. Apply with clear drying eye lash glue.

One of my troupe mates puts a line of those over each of her eyebrows. Just maybe 6 or 8, spaced evenly. She usually color coordinates that with her costume. It's cool looking with the right dance.

Eye Kandy - I'm a totally helpless case for Eye Kandy. And it washes off so easily and safely too.

Tried the drugstore at lunch but must have been an off day- they only had skulls and kittens! Thanks for the suggestion though!

I also love Eye Kandy. My skin is about allergic to everything and I am able to use Eye Kandy just fine. I highly reccomend it!

We have a couple of vendors in Chicago, so I usually get mine at BD events. You can look here to see if anyone in your area sells it Eye Kandy ~ Product Retailers

Wow! So many colors!!! I am a complete novice so I wonder if you ladies who use it could recommend a few basic or must have colors?

Eye Kandy is fabulous. Start with the basics for color. My first two were gold and silver. There are some bhuzers here that sell it. I got mine on Ebay.

Gold and silver are your "neutrals". Getting colors to go with your costumes is a good idea also.

I agree...there are some interesting photos of EyeKandy...and that should give you some inkling of the endless possibilities using it!

I just ordered a mess of Eye Kandy from Basia and cant wait to get it and start experimenting. Should be here any day now!

Is the 'Liquid Sugar' what makes the Eye Kandy stick? Sorry, I've never used it and want to make sure I'm getting all I need when I place an order with Basia.

I see there are several brushes too, so any recommendations for which are the most useful?

I personally find that a lipstick brush or a synthetic flat, angled brow brush the easiest way to apply EKC.

Yes, it is the liquid sugar that makes it stick. I squit a little (a few drops) into a water bottle lid and dab the brush into the sugar and then into the glitter. I just rinse the water bottle lid out each time after use. I keep it in the Kandy bag so I am ready to go.
A cheap little brush came with my first Eye Kandy purchase and honestly it's the best brush for the job (that I've found). I've tried some of my nice MAC brushes but the one that came with the Eye Kandy works better for me.
