Thread: Sizing of Bella bra vs other designers

I want to order my first costume (or maybe two!) from Bella (I don't have a password :( but am going to email her in the New Year in the hope she will have capacity and accept my order). Anyway, somehow, all my costumes are Emans (apart from a vintage lovely from swapmeet) and Bella bras look so differently shaped, I'm not sure what size to ask for and how to ask for it.

My real life bra size is 28E/30DD/32D at a push, but I wear costumes labelled a B/small C (cups around 5.5 x 5.5) and just move the hooks a ton on the back to fit my ribs. Any costume labelled a D is enormous on me. Do you think it would be OK to say I wanted a B cup on a band to fit a 27" ribcage? I really don't want to get one that is too big and doesn't show a bit of cleavage, as that would be really unflattering on my petite frame, but neither do I want something I can't squeeze into! I hope some of the many Bella experts her can help me out! Thanks...

Could you maybe e-mail a picture of your torso in a bra that fits you well?

I am a 32DD or 30 F ... that's according to Nordstrom's.

I can't fit into anything labeled a B cup...they laugh at me! I like at least a 7" vertical, 7.5" across and about 2.5-3" deep.

I order a 32D from Bella...and I like what I get. A nice smallish band, deep cups set closer together, but high enough on the sides for no side spillover.

So maybe a 32C would work for you?

I find that Bella's are easily padded, so a size up wouldn't hurt cupwise...

Also I tend to ask for a sequin headband...I have added to the edge of Bella cups before with it...
