I can't help but sort of like this set. I wasn't so sure about the chunky beading & especially the flowers, but it grew on me. Reminds me of the avocado linoleum, harvest gold rotary phone and matching rust colored stove fridge & dishwasher we had in the kitchen as a kid. I think on the right person, with the right skirt & accessories, this could be very cute.

The stuffed animals was a Legend costume. But you could never find a price tag for it. I think it was her showing her sense of humour.

That reminds me so much of a Tony & Robbie. I love chunky beading!
If only I could pull off that delicious mango color ,r:;

Re: Can't help but like it
I love almost every shade of orange, so I love this. I see lots of sets that I couldn't or would 't wear but that would be great on someone with different proportions, etc.
Like this one on Dahlal: EM05-01FC, Movie Star Style Eman
It's cute but too pastel for me and I don't like waist straps on my body.Last edited by dunyah; 12-20-2009 at 12:00 PM. Reason: typo

Re: Can't help but like it
Oh! I used to own one similar to that, but more colors. I called it the "sunshine flowers" set.
From the close ups in your link, I'd guess the same manufacturer.
I LOVE yellow costumes, but can't wear them.
I always admire black, olive, chocolate and other elegant color costumes, but they don't go with my dance personality.
White costumes with color accents are gorgeous...but white costumes that might drag on dirty floors are not good. Perfect for stage and hafla shows, but not practical for me.

Reminds me of fruity frosty beverage , served in a ceramic head with an umbrella in it.

Things I want but can't wear...
the whole white with accent color- LOVE

I always fall in love with black costumes, too.

I tried this one on with high hopes. Was too "matchy matchy" with my hair! lol!

Barbie pink is not so good on me, although I love it on others

LOVE the yellow!

WANT!!! But this blue does nothing for me

Colors like brown are often to "sophisticated" for my dance personality

I have a major thing for stripes!

Re: Can't help but like it
Every time I visit bellydancestore.biz, I see this costume and it makes me smile.

I know it's totally cheesy, and the theme-y nature of it would make it only appropriate for certain venues... but I'm a goofball and I just really like it.
And it happens to be in my size. LOL
Next time I'm at the store, I'm going to have to try it on, even though I know I'll never buy it.
My husband says I could wear it and dance to Lady Gaga's "Poker Face."

Re: Can't help but like it
How much do I love that copper paisley?!?! I'd grab it in a second if it were my size. I know what you mean about the matchy, Samira, but I still think it would be beautiful on you.
The chunky-beads-and-flowers is great, too. I keep petting the ones like it over at Shahrzad's. And I'm pretty sure that beautiful black-and-red number is not going to last long....

Re: Can't help but like it
I love costumes with the open leg on each side, like this one from Andrea 2's shop:

But I just don't feel comfortable showing my legs much above the knee. It's varicose vein and cellulite city up there, so I defer to more flattering skirt styles to disguise that particular flaw. But I'm always so enamored of the style when I see dancers with lovely smooth legs rockin' the look.

Re: Can't help but like it
Samira, I was just going to ask if you had sold it to Nina....she still has it. She rarely sells a costume! Her room is OVERFLOWING with sparklies, and I have dreams of raiding it! LOL! We have the same measurements...though our bodies look totally different.
