Ruffled romance costume at Dahlal?
https://www.dahlal.com/default.aspx?...uffled+romance
OK! Does anyone out there have or once have had this costume? Or a version of it? Is it difficult to dance in?
I don't know why I keep staring at it, but I do know Dahlal's customer appreciation month is coming up, and I thought I would start browsing!

That's an insanely cute costume! There have been a couple of discussions about long wait times and mixups when ordering through Dahlal. Personally, I'd try to order it direct from Sim. It'll be cheaper and you'll get it quicker. Not to mention, ordering direct gives you more wiggle room to pick the color and make modifications to the style.

Hey thanks, Satin! Is Sim as hard to contact as Bella? I did finally get a hold of Bella and can now order from her, but did wait awhile to get noticed, I guess.
It is insanely cute, isnt it??? I love the cut of the bra too. I have a small torso so it helps to not be overpowered up there!

I'm having some difficulty getting a Sim password. Then again, with Bella, all I had to do was send her my measurements and preferences and tell her I needed to place an order. This approach just might work for Sim! People have had great success ordering direct from them.
I totally agree on the bra. That would be so flattering on a petite dancer!

It's very easy to order from SIM, just send a mail - they are really quick with replies... and with your order too - mine took about 4 weeks, exactly the time they told me!

SabuaSabua, how did the price of your custom Sim stack up against Dahlal's prices?

Oh, I love this costume. I really don't think it would work for me though. :(
I've ordered through Sim and there isn't much difference after transfer fees from Dahlal's "web price" but you do save a little bit and its easy to ask for custom stuff.

Good to know! Even if you don't save a whole lot of money, the shorter lead times are definitely worth it.

I have had very good luck with Sim, both in person and through email correspondence...I highly recommend going through him (although Dahlal's customer service is excellent too)

Re: Ruffled romance costume at Dahlal?
I have the white one! White costumes are my weakness, and I resisted this one until I saw it in person at Dahlal's booth at Rakk West two years ago. Finally caved in, lol ..... the open sides are "dangerous", but fabulous. My intent was to add some chiffon at the sides and make the existing skirt like an "overskirt", but that project remains untouched. I prefer Eman/Dina style bras, 'tho .... I don't feel as comfy in the Sim bras, so every now & then I think about putting it up for sale because of the bra, but then put it right back ..... those ruffles are to die for, LOL!

Neat cossie! I love ruffles! I'd probably get some chiffon and sew panels into the sides to make it more like a skirt... or at least on one side... that'd probably look pretty cute to just do it on one side (or if you custom do it from sim, have him do that for you)!
