Re: costume opinion
Wow, if I had the figure and was working on a modern piece, this would be the costume for me.

Re: costume opinion
i've seen people dance in the costumes with the high wide slit like that, and flashing is inevitable, plus in that color matching panties would look like barbie crotch.
other than that i really like it. maybe in a different color so that it would be very clear that you're wearing underwear? (nothing too dark, because it could look like just shadow and so the audience is still left wondering what they saw)

Re: costume opinion
I love it - but I would close the slit down a bit further with more mesh.

Re: costume opinion
Wow, that's a killer costume!
Drawback? Unless you dance at a lot of nightclubs and Arab venues, an edgy little number like this might not get to come out and play as often as the classic ones. That being said, if you already have plenty of bunny foo-foo princess stuff in your wardrobe, feel free to splurge!

Re: costume opinion
Love. But like Satin said, that's for the connoisseur audiences, not the GP. Recipients of bellygrams would not know what to think!

Re: costume opinion
I know someone who has one. She is totally gorgeous and when she is stood still she looks fabulous but its not really practical for dancing in-you do look like you are going to reveal all at any moment.Which I think is uncomfortable for your audience.

Re: costume opinion
I love the high slit costumes...I have a red one with as much space in the slit...but it has rhinestone chains holding it together. For a more conservative look, I found an exact match of red dance shorts to wear underneath-and it looked really good both more nekkid and the other way. As revealing as I thought it looked tho-I always get a very good response from it-GP or otherwise. I think I have a 'sweet' enough dance personna to counteract the nekkidness that can sometimes be intimidating to people...if that makes sense?

Re: costume opinion
yeah i wasnt too crazy about that leg opening, so i told the designer to close it and have the slit only go up halfway :)
i'm way too clumsy to have such a revealing costume for myself lol.
hopefully it will turn out ok :)
i plan to wear it to the arabic club here.

Re: costume opinion
I like it. I recently saw one just like it in white and thought it was pretty classy looking.
With the slit closed a little bit that one should look great!

Re: costume opinion
I think it's Kina who as a very mod costume which she wears matching bike shorts under it and it looks great. Shems also has a costume which she made with matching shorts. For the right venue, I think it looks great!

Re: costume opinion
I think it's a beautiful costume BUT, I can't deal with the inevitable crotch shot! With all the moving, shimmies, and spinning....everyone would see EVERYTHING!
Just my two cents.

Re: costume opinion
That's my reaction, too. It looks beautiful but how could you dance in it without doing a raqs beaver? Maybe a modesty panel coming down from the slit in a matching nude-colored mesh would help? Or shorts underneath, but you will still get a crotch view with shorts. It needs a little more to the skirt, but that's my opinion. Strings of pearls across the opening, maybe, to hold it closed a little better?
I can't quite visualize the slit going only half-way so I'm not sure if that will solve the dilemma.

Re: costume opinion
I love it. I'd wear very obvious boy shorts under or maybe an extra skirt if possible.
