Thread: Color combo help

I have just bought this seashell lovely from Lana on Swapmeet and would love to hear your ideas for cute color combo pairings I might not have thought of!

I am ordering a white chiffon double split skirt and an 'Egyptian blue' chiffon skirt from Mode Mystique, which I may layer over each other, depending on how it looks. Anyone have any other ideas? I'm also thinking an ocean blue silk double split skirt could be nice, but $$ :( I'm spending way too much on costumes at the moment and need to rein myself in!

Taupe and pink. Think inside the conch shell.

Ohhhh I used to dye one called Wai'au which is a blended swirl of light pinks, purples, blues, mints..very pastel but on charmeuse silk it is stunning

I never would have though of that, but fabulous idea! Thanks! Now to search for suitable skirts...

Oh...and if you are going for water...aqua and royal...or some such. I would stay away from white, it may make the shells look dingy in contrast. Think cream/eggshell instead.

I like that idea! I say Aqua on the outside and Royal as the under layer inside. A mix of shallow and deep water ..l;,
And I agree that the white skirt might make the shells look dingy.

Hi Cara! Yes...I agree with taupe and pink...that was going to be my plan:) Aqua is nice as well! And I do agree that white probably would not be best choice. Depending on your skin tone a soft, pale gold might look cool to pick up the gold seashell accents. I got your pm and will pm you back now...

Brown and Taupe for an earthy jungle girl look ..??

I can see taupe, cream, pale gold and maybe something leaning towards a pale sunset peach or pale blue. In silks or chiffons; this is a lovely set.

Salmon pink maybe... or something that fades between salmon pink and a very light/pale blue.
