Eshta - those hearts are gorgeous!

My sleeves got a rest from me while I looked for my hooks-n-eyes this weekend (and worried about my truck not working). Then I cut the tips to points, and am FrayChecking them now. I have attached small jump rings to some silver stamped coins, which I will attach to the tips of the sleeve parts, and then I'll have to figure out exactly how I'll do the hooks-n-eyes.

I'm thinking eyes all on first, at measured intervals inside the ghawazee coat sleeves, then try to place the hooks likewise at measured intervals on the "good" side of the false sleeves. That's the best thinking-through I can come up with.

I finished the dresses for my troupe. I gave each dress a different bling pattern around the neckline with crystals. Here's two of them.

I've finished my black and red lace "gotharet" bra and belt.

No body shot yet... It doesn't fit on my too-big dressmaker dummy now that it's finished, and I still have to make a trumpet skirt to go with it.

Great work! Really gorgeous design and beadwork, I love how the swirls in the middle end in fringe.

beautiful work everyone.
I am working on something simple, it will take me maybe a week or so. I don't have pictures yet. (because right now it's fabric on a hanger:) )

It started out wanting to make a simple circle skirt w/veil/sleeves to wear with my gold bra and belt, to add a little variety without spending a lot. Then I saw a Orit's yellow costume for sale, and after close examination I realized how the skirt was made.
So originally I had 5 half circles cut out of pretty coral chiffon, I was going to use one or two layers. But instead, I cut them similar to the trumpet skirts pattern. So the skirt will still be flexible to move around but won't have as much bulk around the hips and will flare out on the bottom. I will have 2 layers.
Then I will add some silk flower petals on the bottom, I have the matching pieces.
I'll finish it by Friday.

And I already designed the matching bra and belt in my head, (couldn't help) so I will get that done next week. Nothing fancy, something simple, but elegant and unique. :))

No sorry. We are not performing at Smoke's hafla. They debuted at Bellyfest last weekend. We will be at Rockford Shimmy for a Cure on 2/20.
