Thread: Great Loops from Dahlal vs. Belly Dance Store

A while back in a swap meet thread, someone (can't remember who) said that the Pharaonics Great Loop sets from Dahlal were somehow better than those from the Belly Dance Store. There were not any further details given.

I was just wondering if anyone else could shed any light on this. They look the same in the photos on each website. Belly Dance Store is offering these bedlahs for $100 less than Dahlal.

There is absolutely no difference as far as I am aware, and I've had my paws all over several sets from both vendors.

Hmm...I've only had great loops from the Belly Dance Store, but the ones that I had were very high quality and nice (with a bit of classic pharonics bead chip, but I imagine that happens on all of them)

I don't think there would be that much-if any- difference. They're both from the same manufacturer, just different distributors.

In this case I think the price difference is attributable only to differences in sales volume and overhead, not quality.

Just as an aside, the price difference is only $50 for DD-and-up cups. It's nice that Shahrzad makes an effort to keep larger sizes in stock, though, at least in silver and gold.

both vendors get them from the same supplier, so the quality is exactly the same.....bellydance store keeps alot of costumes in stock for immediate shipping, dahlal has limited stock so alot of special orders are made, which is likely where the price discrepancy is, that and the difference in overhead......

I bought a used great loop on Bhuz a couple of years ago. More recently, in October, I bought a new one from The Belly Dance Store. I have no idea where the first one originally came from. On the older one the round stones are a bit larger than on the new one. Nothing really to do with your question of BDS vs Dahlal just an observation of my own 2 great loops.
