Jergens Natural Glow and Other Gradual Tanning Lotions
They did it with the Starbucks Caramel Brulee Latte, now I'm afraid they've done it with L'Oreal Sublime Glow gradual tanning lotion. I can't find it anywhere, and a Google search has led me to believe they discontinued it ,m::
Now, I "need" another gradual sunless tanning moisturizer. One that makes me look a little less translucent, but not quite like a human Cheeto.
How's that Jergens stuff? Are there any similar products that work just as well as my L'Oreal? Halp!

Re: Jergens Natural Glow and Other Gradual Tanning Lotions
Oh no, don't tell me that! I have a small stash of the L'Oreal sublime. The ones with the shimmer in it was gone the last time I went out to purchase the lotion, so I only have the non shimmer one.
On a whim, I purchased the Jergens gradual tan. I haven't used it though.
Sigh... all the good stuff is going by the wayside. I wonder if my store still has the Sublime. I'll go and look. The last time it was getting hard to find.

Re: Jergens Natural Glow and Other Gradual Tanning Lotions
I think they're still making the Sublime Bronze, as in, the self-tanner. It's the gradual tanning moisturizer that's been near-impossible to find. When I Googled around, some makeup sites said that it was discontinued. Hopefully that's not correct!
Really does seem like the good stuff always gets discontinued, though. I always loved using Sublime Glow in the winter and in the spring/summer between sunless tanner applications. It was one of the only products that didn't turn me orange!

Yeah, see, that's the sunless tanner, and I've had no problem finding that in the stores. *knock on wood* God, I'd hope they don't discontinue the Sublime Bronze, too! ..c::
This is what I'm referring to:

I've had good results with Jergens Natural Glow. Like Sandra said, it does have a distinct smell, but personally I don't mind it too much. I'm ultra pale, and this gives me just enough color to knock the edge off.

I don't care TOO much about the funk, as long as it works. What I loved about L'Oreal was that it didn't stink ,r:;

Another fish-belly whitie here, seconding the Jergens. The only thing that doesn't turn me orange (but never tried the L'Oreal).

I use Jergens on my legs because I wear pants 99% of the time so when I do wear skirts I don't have pale legs. It has given me streaks on the knees, but that's my fault. Didn't rub it in good enough.

Re: Jergens Natural Glow and Other Gradual Tanning Lotions
Oh, I've never seen that one before.
I miss the shimmer one that the L'Orea Sublime made a few years ago. I think that one is gone. There is the gel and I don't like that one as much, and I think I have one that doesn't have the shimmer in it. Does the one you are looking for have shimmer in it?
I do like the L'Oreal color. It's not orangy and it doesn't have a horrible scent, but I can detect a bit of a chemical smell to it. It could be my body chemistry mixing with the ingredients.
If the product you are looking for is still available, you may only be able to get it online. I loved Nivea's shimmer lotions, but those are no longer available in my area. I did find the pale one on line last year, but I had to pay big bucks for the dark one on an auction site. I mean BIG bucks.
Sigh...

I've used the Jergen's before and the generic knockoff before too. It smells a little funky, but I like that I didn't turn orange or look weird. If I used it often, I would cease glowing the dark. I also like that my hands didn't turn odd colors. I didn’t like waiting around for the lotion to dry though. If I recall, the knockoff version felt a little greasier.

I used to read reviews and tips on Sunless.com -- Your Sunless Tanning Guide religiously, but the last couple years I've let myself be lazy and just glow in the dark. I'll have to get myself unlazy and see what they're recommending these days.

I used to love Sunless.com! Some of the info seemed a little outdated last time I was on that site. I hope they've posted reviews of some of the newer products!
OT, but on the topic of glowing in the dark, I've been reading some very encouraging stuff in fashion mags. Apparently, the overly tanned look is going the way of the Members Only jacket. Happy day! Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I saw an orange fake tan or a leathery real tan on any runway or in any magazine other than my boyfriend's Maxim ,r:;
