    Vintage belly dance costumes

    The only vintage disease I thought was unmentioned was that some of the synthetic filling of older bras (of the handmade/homemade variety) turn to chalky dust over time. I've been trying to find a way to deal with this. In one vintage costume I ended up bleeding the dust/chalk out as much as possible from the inside and carefully stitching in a felt primary lining to replace the padding and make a "dust wall" before the final, emovalble lining.
