Thread: Joann shoppers: Need this fabric

Bhuzzer's don't fail me now! I've been making a costume out of a purple fabric from Joanns. I went back today to get more (because I botched the bra) and I couldn't find any. :( I think it is on clearance and may be long gone.

Here is a picture:



It's a wrinkled synthetic with silver woven in.

If you see it, please let me know. I only need about half a yard. I'll pay for it all, including shipping. Thanks so much!

I love it...Bhuzzers to the rescue!

I am still on a quest for my fabric (a dear Bhuzzer thought it was found, but it turned out to be the wrong color). I will certainly keep my eyes out for this one too!

I found 1 yard of fabric at Joanns that I would kill for. They gave me the scu number and they checked all stores in their district. No luck. Went home on the computer and randomly selected stores in other states from their site. Called them and they would check all stores in their district. Finally found a store in FL (I am in Cape Cod, MA) that said they had it but would check clearance when they were able. Talk about panic attack! 2 days later-voila- they found it and I got it!! So the moral is- get the scu or any id# for the fabric (reciept?), call, call, call and maybe the Costume Goddess will grant your wish! Sending hopefullness your way!!

No luck at my local store, but if I make it to another one this week, I will check.

Let me know if you want me to stop by knoxville. I used to work there & know how to get them to look it up.

No luck here, I checked the clearance and found something that looks similar but it is teal. Fortunately some bellydancer has bought out most of the clearance fabric so there wasn't much to go through, however, I did not ask anyone to look it up. I was on my way to to work.
I will probably be back a time or two this week (working on a project, ya know?) and if so I will ask some one.
Hope someone finds it somewhere!!

I'm going to Fort Myers store tonight to get more trim and felt. Will check their clearance.

Sorry, the store near me only had red and black left.

I looked in Portland ME. They had a purple crinkle fabric like yours, but it had silver sparkles on it, not woven silver.

Thank you for looking! What kind of sparkles? Like glitter? Does it look the same? Maybe the stuff I have isn't woven because the sparkle is only on one side...

It was sparkles like glitter. If you want some, I could pick it up for you. Maybe it would work if you bead over it so the difference wouldn't be so noticeable.

I'm going to look online to see if I can find a photo for you.

Shahla, If you think it is close enough, can you get it for me? I have an idea of how I can work it in.

I think it's very close. Your stuff says it's foil and the stuff I saw was more like a satin, but the pleating was the same and the color looks pretty close. I think it was $6.99 a yard. How much do you want, and I'll pick some up for you tomorrow.
