Thread: Help me figure out if my great loop bra is a #3 of #4

I have a great loop costume that fits me perfectly, and I want to order another in the same size, but I can't remember if it is a #3 or #4. I have emailed the previous owner (Kiyaana) but I thought I would tap into the bhuz collective hive mind also,r:;.

I tried comparing the measurements to Samira Shuruk's oft' cited chart:
#2 (A)-h 6" v 5.5" d 7"
#3 (B) - h 6.5" v 6" d 7.5"
#4 (C) - h 7" v 6.5" d 8"
#5 (D) - h 7.5" v 7" d 8.5"
#6 (D) - h 8" v 7" d 9"
#7 (DD) - h 8.5" v 7.25" d 9.5"

On my bra, the vertical height with the tape pressed against the inside of the cup is 6", which matches #3. There is no way to move the tape and get anything bigger than 6" for the vertical height.

When I measure the diagonal measurement from the absolute upper armpit edge of the bra to the center where the two cups connect (tape pressed to inner curve of cup) I get 8", which matches #4. When I feel and measure diagonally from the end of the underwire to the other (still pressed inside cup, I get 7.5".

I don't really understand where to place the tape for the horizontal measurement.

My actual girls are in between a B and C, and my bras range in size from 34B to 36C. When I have to to the larger of this size range, it is always for "acreage" not "depth".

Help?

You might be able to find it if you take the lining out. Sometimes it is written on the cups. At least that was the case with one Pharaonics that I have.

I'd say it's a 3. The 4 cups are definitely 6.5" tall.

Amira of Pharonics gave the belly dance store a new chart. It takes only vertical measurement from the outside and is in cm. I might be going there tomorrow and can check for you. :)

I agree with Mahsima. I think it's a #3 too. I had a great loop once and I think those were the cup measurements. I'm a 36C too and I can wear a #3 or #4 bra.
