Thread: Costume Goddess "Tribal Vibes" book release (really!)

Hi All,
After engendering many, many white hairs, my Costume Goddess Tells All edition Tribal Vibes for Bellydancers 09 (December 30, heh) is in my hands finally. (BTW, the white hairs are on display, cause after 20 years I stopped coloring my hair - I actually like it!)

Katrina of Skin Deep has generously offered to host a Book Release Party on Sunday Jan. 24th at her Seattle studio.

I had MANY contributors helping me create this - cause I am NOT Tribal - local Tribal/fusion performers, international stars, Bhuz posters.

Members of Twilight, Skin Deep, Anwaar, Veils of the Nile, and Maureen (formerly of Hands of Kali) will treat us to performances. I'm hoping inFusion and Troupe Hipnotica members too.

Seattle-area dancers are invited - it's free! - and they can check out the book before deciding whether to buy.

Tribal Vibes is unique even for my 7-book series, because of the eye candy - TONS of beautiful new photos, graphics and illustrations (oh, and text, too). As you may know, your self-promoting Costume Goddess is also a Digital Genie (plug plug)

I have your "Costuming from the Hip" book from many years ago and it's chock-full of great stuff. I'm sure this one will be worth it, too! Do you do wholesale orders for teachers who might want to carry your book? :)

Thank you, but I didn't write "Costuming from the Hip" - that was by Dawn Devine Brown.

That book is what gave me the idea to do my first book in 2000; I'm an artist/illustrator, so I thought, hm, that's an advantage I have.

I've already sent out dozens of the new book, including orders from Germany, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. I guess Tribal/fusion is catching on outside the U.S.
