    Smashbox luminizer?

Sephora: Smashbox Artificial Light Luminizing Lotion: Luminizer

Any reviews of how this performs on skin over 40? I was thinking about trying some along with the Smashbox liquid foundation, but all of their super pale colors are out of stock.

I'd like to look dewey and glowing and hopefully not emphasizing tiny lines. My skin is pretty young looking but it is fair and dry, and some makeups seem to create lines. I know I should avoid frosty stuff, but super matte stuff also seems to create lines.

Don't know about this product but I do use a "luminizer" loose powder made by Clinique. I am quite particular with cream/liquid foundations that I use and didn't want to mess around with experimenting with foundations. I have for years used Clinique's loose powder and when the sales rep suggested trying this, I gave it a go and I have been pretty happy with it. I too am over 40 (closer to 50) and don't look my age as well...g.:

    I haven't used Smashbox's but it's reminding me of
    MAC Strobe Cream
which I do enjoy, though it's not moisturizing enough for me personally. The luminescence is really nice.
I think iridescent, as opposed to straight up shimmer or matte (either extreme not so good on skin with lines) works well for over 30 skin. As for powder, I wouldn't (and haven't in years) touch the stuff with a 10-foot pole.

I haven't tried it, but my go-to on makeup reviews is makeupalley.com. Lots of fab info and reviews on makeup.
