need quick makeup advice
Okay, so I'm having a photoshoot next weekend. I really want some better makeup foundation and some time to play with it, but my options are limited. Here are my choices:
1. Use some combination of what I have on hand: Revlon age-defying spa liquid foundation, Maybelline matt mouse, and some Too Faced Candlelight luminizing powder.
2. Go to the local Macy's and check out the brands they have (Clinique, Estee Lauder, etc. *No MAC* its a small Macy's)
3. Drive 4 hrs round trip to St. Louis to visit the Sephora and MAC stores. Probably would have to be today. Try numerous brands and be able to pick best color. (visiting the MAC store would not be my main motive as I have already tried several of their foundations and didn't care for them).
4. Order from Sephora online, guessing at what color I will need, pay extra for expedited shipping. Would probably try Makeup Forever HD. Also interested in Smashbox HD but they are out of stock of their 4 lightest colors.

Best drugstore foundation brand: Revlon Colorstay. I was a dummy for a makeup demo and the artist used the liquid version of this. It covered intensely (she did use enough to cover 5 people, IMO), comes in a variety of shades and textures (liquid, mineral), will not cost you a fortune, easy to get.

Re: need quick makeup advice
Thanks Azhia! I found a friend to drive up to St Louis with me on Monday so I will be checking out the MAC and Sephora stores. Are there any other brands at Sephora you would suggest I check out besides the Makeup Forever and Smashbox? I get overwhelmed fairly easily in the Sephora store....

Re: need quick makeup advice
That makes 2 of us.
Overwhelmed and orgasmic in a cosmetic store, not a productive combination.
Do check out LORAC, Stila, CHANEL, NVEY ECO, Laura Mercier and Laura Geller.

For MAC, check out their StudioSculpt foundation. I use that for everyday and it covers well without being too heavy. Cost was $28
