Thread: Best Shoes for Slick Slippery Floors?

I dance at a restuarant and the floor is a bit slick. I have been wearing heels and going barefoot less (Yucky I know) but I am still afraid of falling since the floor is so slick. Which are the best shoes for a slick floor? Also, I prefer heels to wear.

I would suggest taking your heels to a shoe repair shop to get no-skid soles professionally put on because the sticker kind start to peel a little when wearing and stick to hair! Gross!

I am interested in knowing the answer to this question as well, particularly if there is some style or brand of shoe that is good for slick floors straight out of the box (i.e., without the need for stick-on pads). I can think of two particular venues where my shoes slip and slide and I feel like I can't get a good grip. This is when I am wearing either dance shoes with suede soles, or ballroom shoes with street soles. I wouldn't want to put anything too coarse on the shoes, because these are nice dance floors and I don't want to scratch them.

Dance sneakers that have rubber soles with a "spin spot" on them come to mind, but of course you can't wear those with bedlah. Is there anything pretty out there with that kind of sole on it?
