    eye makeup for photoshoot

I have a photoshoot tomorrow and I'm waffling on how to do my eyes.

    Choices I'm considering are:

    1. Neutral yet dramatic eyes using the really nice uber blendable Cargo quad I just got at Sephora, plus dark brown liquid liner. The shadows are shades of warm browns.

    2. Colorful dramatic eyes, probably either rosy pink+browns, or teal. If I do the teal, it will be dark teal liner below my eye and teal MAC pigment on the lid, off white on the brow bone.

I have heavy lids, so I have to keep my eye make up fairly simple.

With either option I'll be adding spikey false eyelashes in a dark brown color (I'm avoiding black for this because I think it will be too harsh). Also, I need to avoid the eye kandy glitter for this right?

I'll be wearing a teal costume and a pink costume. I'm a redhead with very white skin. The studio backdrop will be very light/white.

    Opinions?

You'll never go wrong with brown, esp for photos. Pink-rosy colors can potentially make your eyes look red. Actually, I've always heard to avoid reddish and greenish tones for pics but I'm not sure why. Azhia? Help! *g*

Purpose of the photos? Will you be doing close up/creative type shots? If purpose is to take some nice photos with multiple uses, go with browns and black false lashes. Nothing will come across as too harsh in photos. I've used brown lashes on fair dancers and wished I had gone darker. And yes, definitely no glitter.

    What color are your eyes?

I have light blue eyes and a bright, smoldering copper smoky eye looks phenomenal in my photos. It's neutral, but funky. And copper would be hawt with your red hair!

Thanks everyone. Azhia, the photoshoot is to get a variety of shots, mostly full body shots, but I'd like to get a good head shot. So the make up has to be a compromise for these.

    My eyes are green.

Rosey pink looks good on me in real life -- have gotten compliments on it but I don't know how it would be for photos.

I'm leaning towards the neutral browns because I think it will look more sophisticated for the photos.

I always go for bright color for my performance makeup.
