dry shampoo
I bought a dry shampoo , quite useful in a week with dance classes, gym and gigs , it worked really well.
problem is that too much perfume in it for me , I have sensitive scalp and there was only one available at the drugstore where I go.
Before ordering online I want to know what bhuzzers can recommend.
anyone can recommend one brand that is organic ?
if not organic what do you use ?

Re: dry shampoo
I use dry Klorane and I like it. I don't feel any perfume in it...

Re: dry shampoo
I use Oscar Blandi "Pronto". It smells like lemons to me. It's not a strong smell. I like it particularly because it isn't an aerosol spray. You just shake it onto your hair. less messy and more control over how much you apply.

Re: dry shampoo
I love, love, love the Frederick Fekkai type from Sephora. It's a powder and has a nice applicator so you don't get powder all over yourself. So great for post-gig touchups! And it's fragrance-free and cornstarch based.
A little bit goes a long way!

Re: dry shampoo
I love the spray version of Ojon's Rub Out Dry Cleanser. It's lightly scented and gives your hair a little boost.
The powder versions also works well but you don't get the same boost.

Re: dry shampoo
I vote for Ojon's also!
I prefer the powder myself, but I've tried both, I have very dark hair and had a harder time rubbing the aerosal thru and not having it show.
That might just be me being wierd though!

Re: dry shampoo
Please explain what this is and how the stuff is used. Are these powders or what?
There are times when the shower or the head in the sink are not great options.
I have mid-thigh length hair, as well; does that make a difference?

The Ojon is a spray and the key is to keep shaking it as you go otherwise the powderish substance doesn't mix well. I believe it's more like a cornstarch, but don't worry, it won't turn to gravy or glue if you get caught in the rain. I love this stuff as it saves wear and tear on my hair. I don't have to shampoo as often and strip my hair.
I love it!

Re: dry shampoo
Elise, what's the super-smelly one called? It's nice to know what to avoid. Thanks!

Re: dry shampoo
I personally found Ojon's scent way too strong for me - like "old lady perfume". I prefer the Oscar Biandi type - the scent is a soft citrus. Klorane is a little more powdery than Biandi's in my opinion and I liked the scent.

Re: dry shampoo
I use "Baptiste" dry shampoo , made in England.
It is unfortunate that I have to change brands because I think it does a nice job and my hair look like they "behave" when I brush it out.
The scent is not that strong , it smells a little like baby powder.
But I have a sensitive scalp so I have to look for something without perfume, I can't use Dove, Matrix or Tresemmé hair products for example cause my scalp gets very, very itchy.
So Ojon is out for me.
I think I will try Frederic Fekkai because it more natural. Oscar Blandi looks like it could work for me too.
Very helpful to have everyone comments cause they are more expensive than the one I found at my drugstore.

Re: dry shampoo
Get back to basics....
1. Bristol brush.
2. Tissue
3. Corn starch
Place / poke tissue over/through brush tines, cover 'tines' with tissue.
Sprinkle tissue covered tines with corn starch. Brush hair to remove oils.
Change tissue as needed
Note: No horrid smells, and very cost effective!
