Thread: Finding the perfect harem pant...

My class is doing a choreography to the Lawrence of Arabia overture to fit with the dance studio's theme for recital and I'm thinking of putting some floorwork into the choreography. We're on a tight budget for costumes and so I'm thinking of going the harem pants with top route. Where do you go to find ones that are pretty, functional, and poufy enough to flatter from a size 2 to 20? Bonus points if they have matching tops.

Tall order, I know... but I really appreciate any leads! :Abiggrin:

If anyone sews, I have a pattern that is amazing! It takes 3 yards of fabric so they are beautifully full and because of the fullness the same pattern can fit most any size. Also most heights as the ankle is elastic and made to be worn mid-shin with fabric draping around ankle. Let me know if you would like more info on it.

Oh, I just remembered my computer isn't at home it is being repaired. If I can figure out my husband's laptop, I'll be in business, otherwise, it might not be til Monday.

I'd recommend finding someone with a sewing machine and making them. It'll be really cheap, and they are quick and simple to make (with or without a pattern). You can find easy instructions all over the web in case you don't have a pattern.

Thanks! I think we may go the buying fabric and sew route... I can't find anything I really like just yet. That and we're lucky to have Arub Dalal just up the road to sew everything together - none of my ladies or I are very confident when it comes to sewing just yet. :-p
