Spinoff: Getting the Right Cup Size
Here's a question for Bhuzzers who need either a larger or smaller-than-average cup size.
I wear an A, if not an AA-cup bra. I've placed two custom orders recently, and they both came back too big for my liking. One was totally fixable, while the other was not.
When I place a custom order, I usually specify a small A-cup. In the future, how can I make sure I get the size I need? Should I provide specific cup dimensions instead of just a cup size? Any other tips?

Re: Spinoff: Getting the Right Cup Size
I ask all my difficult to fit customers to measure their favorite costume cup. Top to bottom, side to side. For my A and AA cup people I usually do a small B cup and pad it.

Re: Spinoff: Getting the Right Cup Size
A nicely padded small B always works well for me. It evens out the proportion of the costume without posing any additional challenges or looking goofy.
I'll have to go back and revisit the measurements for some of my old favorite costume bras. I think half of the problem is that cup sizes aren't standardized. One manufacturer's B is another's C ,r:;

Re: Spinoff: Getting the Right Cup Size
I have the opposite problem, but here's what I have done.
You can give specific cup dimensions, but I have had the best luck with:
1) Asking for the cup dimension measurements for the designer's standards costume in my cup size
2) Sending a bra/bra cup in my size to the designer for them to use as reference
3) Using the fruit/vegetable volume reference ;)
Good luck!

I really like suggestion #2. Definitely makes sense for your favorite designer to have a prototype on hand.
Anyway, I like Bella's work so much, I kind of feel like throwing my bras at her, as if she's Bon Jovi and I'm an 80's fangirl! ..l;,.w.:

I would also send a photo so they can visually understand that you need a really small or a really large cup size.
