Pink Metallic lame skirt - weight the edge?
I inherited a blot of pink lame fabric and figured I'd make a circle skirt and I'm not sure what else. I still have quite a bit left over. This fabric is really stiff and easy to work with. I finally got my rolled hem foot cranking and it whipped through that 17 yard hem like it was no body's business!
I know this fabric might be looked at like the dreaded glitterdot (I like glitterdot
)...is it a fashion fau paux? .p:: I'm going for the vintage look.....
How do I weight down the edges so it will flow a bit better? Sequins and beads???? Recommended patterns? I would like something that works up quickly if possible......

Thank you!

Re: Pink Metallic lame skirt - weight the edge?
It's beautiful!
It looks 'vintage' to me.
You could also wear another color chiffon over it (I do that with some of my lame' skirts)
Sequin trim would weight it down nicely...but it'll be real expensive!
You could also use a metallic ribbon, to add weight (might be a little less costly).
Rolled hem foot, is wonderful isn't it?
:-)
