How much makeup to wear at a morning performance?

My troupe is doing a couple numbers in a showcase in a few weeks, and while we all pile on the makeup at night this is going to be at 9:30 in the morning. And then we will be hanging around for a couple hours after that, mingling with the audience, taking pictures, whatever. Also it's indoors, not outside.

Do you lighten up on makeup for early mornings like that? I would think it would still need to be heavier than normal, but just not as spackled on as for night performances? Maybe make it like evening "out on the town" makeup?

I typically wore regular daytime makeup but just a little heavier on the eyeliner, lipstick and gloss.

I would wear regular stage makeup, only minus the extraneous glitter and drag queen lashes. I typically go softer on the lip for morning performances, too.

But don't go too light on the makeup. You still want to convey drama and make your features stand out from across a room!

I have found that less blush is the only thing that I do less for early daytime type stuff. I've switched to mineral make up now though and that looks stunning in any light! YAY!

Wondering if some of the neutral tone Eye Kandy colors (the ones they advertise as ok for daytime/office wear) would be work? On the website it looks shimmery and nice but low-key...
