I'm out for a goregous chiffon veil that's not a 10.00 POS from Ebay or one that weighs a gazillion pounds. Know any vendors that sells higher quality chiffon veils?

I would suggest going to a local fabric store and buying three yards of chiffon. If you don't sew, take it to the cleaners and ask them to straighten the edges and hem them.

Polyester chiffon can be anywhere from $5-$20/yard. I don't know how much someone would charge to hem it. I can straighten the sides and hem in 15 minutes if I don't have machine problems.

L. Rose chiffon veils are gorgeous, as are the ones by Kathy at Simply Stylish.

I did. They had junk. It was okay chiffon for skirts and formal wear, but it was terrible for veil. I want floaty, silk chiffon blend. I wish haboti silk was sheer... Anyways, I bought Sarah Skinner's veil DVD and she twirls around with a silk-chiffon. It's sheer. It floats beautifully. I. Must. Have.

I buy silk at the fabric store [I've found some amazing, patterned silk chiffons over the years]. And then I get my tailor to serge the edges if I don't want to hem it myself.

I also got some silk chiffon of the burnout variety - very very light, on Ebay from a vendor in Hong Kong. So it's not all crap.

I just bought a Simply Stylish in iridescent chiffon (blue/purple) to go with my silver/black/pearl/peacock accented cossie I'm making. I can't wait to see it. Thanks for the recommendation.
