Thread: HELP THINKING OF ORDERING A COSTUME - Doing it again, ends Feb 15...Dahlal's Pharonics Costume Guarantee

So, Dahlal's Pharonics Costume Guarantee is going on again and ends Feb 15. Thinking of just ordering a purple costume, I need suggestions on design that would work for me, thoughts??? I do not usually like costumes with particular things, like stars, hearts, etc.

The venus is always a winner :) and I have seen it in purple and its fabulous!!!

BDStore had pics of a "Trimmed in Treasure" in purple (and gold) and it was gorgeous. Fringe is shorter on it, which is nice for smaller frames (though all of those plastic teardrop beads would need a protective coating, unless they're using better quality ones, now).

I adore "Romantic Interlude" and it's actually one of the fully-beaded types, where as so many of the newer ones they're offering have about half of the beadwork on the bra and belt. Every color I've seen it in is lovely (gorgeous orange one on BDstore right now).

Just today I was thinking how glad I am that I have my red Paisley Passion. Again, the belt and bra are fully beaded and the belt is narrow, which lengthens the legs, I think. I believe I saw a purple version on Dahlal. (But mine has a solid color skirt and came with a CAPE! lol) eta: But maybe the paisley motif falls into the "costumes with particular things, like stars, hearts, etc." for you?

I have a Venus and I love it - I want to be buried in it, I love it so much. I want to wear it to the supermarket. And to the drugstore. And to work. It's so beautiful in person.

Gotta say - every time I see a Venus Maat on Bhuz I just about cry, they're so beautiful.

Okay checked all of them out - IMHO, it's Venus/Maat or Tempest. I think the diagonal lines of the Tempest hip details are really flattering. And remember: don't shorten too much so later you can sell to your 5'4" friend in AZ!..l;,

Wow, I hate my Venus! It's pretty and all, but it sticks to everything. It sticks to itself. I just can't stand dancing in it and I can't use any veil with it without destroying the veil. I love how it looks but I hate how the beading gets stuck on the chiffon. In fact, it makes me afraid to order other Pharaonics costumes sight unseen because I feel like I need to test for the sticky beaading aspect.

I was thinking of the Egyptian Empress or Trimmed in Treasure - I have a Sultana on the way from Audrena but it's taking forever. But I'll probably be practical and get a black great loop.

Apparently I'm waiting for the next time they do this...maybe I'll have $
