chiffon widths
Please tell me I'm not the only one to do this!
I bought some chiffon on a whim, thinking it would be a good veil for a particular costume. I straightened the edges, then serged all around it. I left it sitting in my sewing room for a week then took it to my dance room and realized it was 60" fabric, not 45"! Of course I have since changed out all the threads on the serger.
The sad thing is that it is the second time I have done this. ..c::

Re: chiffon widths
yes, it seems that most chiffon is 60" wide now.

Re: chiffon widths
Yep, done that when I was in a hurry!
Great to have the extra fabric for other projects, once I serged it off!

Re: chiffon widths
a lot is 45" and some are 60" - great for sleeves, and skirts, if you overlap the half circles, you need less fabric.

You got to measure! 60" is awesome for skirts 45" great for veils.
