Question trumpet skirt patterns for petites?

Are these in existence? I'm a size 0 or a 2 and only 5 feet tall. My awesome boyfriend bought me a sewing machine for Christmas and I would like to try to make some of my skirts. Are there trumpet skirt patterns for petites and small build petites at that? I keep finding patterns which the smallest available is size 6-8. Please help!!

I make my own patterns for trumpet skirts. Basically, it's two pieces: A rectangle and a triangle. Measure your hips at the widest point and divide by 6. This is how wide your rectangle should be. The length should be the length you want the skirt plus allowance for a waist band and hem. The triangle should be the length from the top of your knee to the hem. Cut 6 of each pieces and sew together. Fold down the top for a waistband and add elastic. Hem the bottom and it's done. If you've never done one before, it might be wise to make one out of cheap fabric before trying it on expensive stuff.

A lot of sewing patterns have bigger numbers than what you wear in regular life. I usually wear a 3 or 4, but in homemade clothes I wear a 10 or 12.

I used a modified version of Simplicity 5914. It was very easy. I made it out of stretchy fabric and didn't need a zipper.
