just thought this was odd..

I love it! I've seen a goth-tastic black version and I intend to buy one just like it ..g.:

If I'm not mistaken this one is based on Randa's black costume with the white/silver gingerbread men on it..

I don't see the gingerbread men, but it has lacing on the skirt.

I like the skirt lacing. The bra lacing on the red isn't working as well for me though. I think I would've liked it better if it just laced up the middle, but points for creativity.

I think it's sorta gorge.

I actually quite like the concept, though I'd prefer wearing something like that out clubbing instead of for belly dance. But the execution leaves something to be desired, at least on the bra.

Yeah I don' t think I'm a big fan of it. :-) Doesn't look like an Eman though you are right!

I don't like the askewy lace on the bra. The skirt is alright. The right dancer could sell that look but like a lot of the "cairo couture" costumes on the other thread I think a lot depends on where you wear the outfit.

It doesn't surprise me if it is an Eman. She was the first, after all, to start messing with stuffed animals, silk flowers, feathers, and chain mail on costumes.

I'm not sure what it is with me 'coz I am for all things innovative and dangerous but I'm finding these recent costume styles pretty horrific, lacking in any originality or class.

I think dancingstar is totally right about it being hazardous for restaurants!

when i saw this in person i kinda liked it, but i think the strings are too long....if someone tied it clean, sewed the knot closed and cut the excess it would be supercute..........as with all the emans, it's really well made and comfy, but any future owner would need to tweak it, just a matter of how much bow or string to keep.....

i own one of eman's 'chainmaile' mesh costumes and LOVE it!....i got feedback from the restaurant i was in that it moved like a dream, so it's one of my faves......eman is one of my fave designers, as i own 3 and one by her sis hoda.....there ARE a couple of new styles i'm not fond of, and this one is on the border, but STILL like eman

It is entirely possible, Eshta.

Custom-design drawings that I submitted to her for my own costumes in early 2000 have showed up as regular designs now (or before these monstrosities showed up).

And I like your execution of the draw strings and overall costume, much classier.

I hate to say it, but I'd have to agree with this.

Normally, I try to keep an open mind toward new costume trends - but I saw nicer, classier, better quality dancewear in the stripper megastore in Cocoa Beach the other day!

Eshta, yours is much classier. I thought the Eman skirt was alright, but the bra screamed cheap hooker lingerie to me.
