Can anyone recommend a volumising mascara
I've been going through my stage makeup and have concluded that my mascara is lacking.
I have very thick eyelashes naturally, so what I normally use, day to day, is a lengthening, rather than a thickening formula and that is fine for general use.
However, I really do need more drama on stage. My skin and eyes are very , very sensitive so I am iffy about false eyelashes - I don't think my skin can cope with the glue and the resulting chemicals needed to remove it.
Any ideas people. I don't have any cash right now so this is a long term aim.

Re: Can anyone recommend a volumising mascara
I like using Volum'Express from Maybelline (the thick blue bottle), and Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Feline Blacks (panter print bottle :) HR is more expensive, so I only buy it at tax-free airport shops ;) Both were recommended to me by makeup artists and give an instant glam effect. If I want to go for even more volume I layer both of them on top of each other.

At 8USD, you can't go wrong with Rimmel's Glam Eyes. I find it to be the best.

I personally like Loreal Voluminous! I have been using it for YEARS and just can't find another that is as good. :-)
THough I am loyal to it so I don't really try all that many! ;-)

Hmmmm
I'm enormously allergic to Rimmel (also Max Factor) - I usually pay the extra to go with more expensive but hypoallergenic brands like Clinique. I have considered Mabelline though, maybe I should look into that a bit more closely.

Unfortunate!
Also, I believe it's application technique, rather than formula, which creates volume.
In which case, you can use whatever formula is not irritating to you, and I would highly recommend Lavera, along with the badonkadonk lashes technique.

I rate diorshow with a mascara base underneath for an extra boost, it's my fave mascara, and I have tried a ton of 'em!

Re: Can anyone recommend a volumising mascara
I've tried tons of different mascaras...including the very expensive ones and I always end up coming back to good old cheap Mabelline Great Lash.

Any of the above waterproof? Otherwise my watery eyes lead to me resembling a panda or raccoon.

Re: Can anyone recommend a volumising mascara
Any l'Oréal ones works great for me. Intensifique was the best one ever but it is discontinued. I have since used mostly Voluminous.
It is the favorite mascara of a lot of celebrity makeup artists, fyi.
I have recently come across one that works even better for me, a magical mascara: NYX Doll Eye Voluminous. I can check the actuall name I am sure I mixed it up :)
it works WONDERS. Also this one I've heard quite a few MUA mention as well.
Maybelline is pretty good, too, and I have gotten many compliments in the time I used the volume mascara that comes in black boxes for non-waterproof, and grey for water-proof.. not sure what the name was. It pales in comparison to the l'Oréal and Nyx ones though.
I tried many others like Diorshow, UD fat lashes and none of them struck me as amazing.

Re: Can anyone recommend a volumising mascara
for days I want ultra volume, and ultra waterproof I go with the l'Oréal volume shocking by the way. With the primer and waterproof mascara. It is amazing, but quite some work to remove (I have to use the oily type of makeup remover like from Maybelline). It produces amazing lashes and lasts forever and ever though.

I tend to avoid false lashes, too, because the combination of contacts, lashes, liner, and glitter is one product too many for my eyes. I love Fiberwig and have also been really, really pleased with Maybelline's Define-a-Lash Waterproof, the poor woman's Fiberwig.

Re: Can anyone recommend a volumising mascara
I know - the thing is this non waterproof volume shocking and Diorshow are about the only mascaras that make stains under the eye for me!
normally I can use non waterproof formulas just fine - like all other l'Oreal ones I use non waterproof. This for a reason does not work out.
Hence why I use it for special occasions only, but then it is the only mascara I turn to. Only a pain to remove - but not to be defeated on the other hand :)
