    Ouidad curly hair products

Saw these products on a late-night informercial:

Ouidad.com - Products, how-to styling videos, and salons for all your wavy, curly, or frizzy hair needs!

Has anyone here tried them and if so, are they any good?

I've never tried them, but I'm on a couple of curly hair/natural hair forums and a lot of the girls rave about it. I also know of a couple of girls who have gone to the actual salon and had their hair cut as well. Rave reviews for that also.

    Re: Ouidad curly hair products

I had my hair cut at a Ouidad Salon (and they used the products in my hair.) I loved the look, but sadly there were silicones and sulphates in them which I don't use because I use the Curly Girl method.

Overall I think they are great and if I ever switch my hair care I'll use them.

Also the haircut was amazing, and they take hair models once a month for a free deep conditioning treatment and hair cut.

Fellow curly girl here. I found Ouidad to be a little drying to my hair personally. I have had great success with Wen and Deva Curl. I know these products have been mentioned on Bhuz before, but there are options to compare. You can check Deva Hair products here. DevaConcepts

I agree with Lotus. I have tried Ouidad and though they worked okay, I've found the Devacurl products to be better and WEN to be the best.

I tried the Ouidad products and felt like my hair became very crunchy... didn't like it at all. I am now using Curly Hair Solutions products and love them.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep Ouidad in mind but I think that I might try Deva Curl. I didn't know Lorraine Massey had her own product line... I just ordered her book. I am excited to work with my curls and not against them!

You might be interested in these two threads as well:

I first used Ouidad products, which really helped my hair a lot. Then I switched to the Curly Girl method (including the Curly Girl hair cut) and my hair seemed to really like going "-cone free" and conditioner washes. LOVE the cut- particularly by one stylist. The Deva Care products however still are not enough moisture for my hair.
Recently, after poking about on curlmart.com and reading some forums and reviews I've switched products again and slightly changed how I use them (although I always air-dry). I now use mostly Curl Junkie and Jessie Curl products. Curlmart is nice because you can search for products by their "lacking ingredient" (for example "no -cones", "no 'poo" or "no protein" etc) and read a lot of reviews.
Enjoy your curly hair ride! With some experimentation I'm sure you'll find what works best for you. We're all a little different.
