    Waving iron

Do any of you use a waving iron instead of a curling iron or rollers? I've got fine hair that just doesn't hold much of a style and I was thinking of trying it. They're not that expensive but I'd like to see if it works for any of you. Pictures would be an added bonus..g.:!

My hair is naturally wavy and frizzy, so I wouldn't use it. I either straighten it with a flatiron, curl it slightly with a curling iron, or really curl it with hot rollers.

I use one occasionally for gigs. I also have fine hair and it works well for me.

    Re: Waving iron

Gigi, I use one. What I do is braid my hair in maybe four or five separate small braids and then when I take it down I use the crimping iron at the roots and the tips. They get pretty hot so you might want to use a product especially for heat. I lightly spray it into each strand before I use the crimper. My hair is fine but thick and I have lots of it so it takes me a while to get it all done but my niece has hair more like yours and I've done hers pretty quickly and it holds pretty well.

I use it on my hair for shows. I have very fine, straight hair. A curling iron stays for about 30 minutes where the waving iron lasts all day. I use a smaller barrelled one. It takes awhile but I really like it.
