Thread: Flattering shapes

Something I just noticed on Sewing Patterns | Vogue Patterns. Vogue includes icons for body shapes that are flattered by each pattern's design. Even if you don't sew it might be a good source to get ideas of what might look good on your figure type. Check out some of the designer evening gowns.

If you want to buy Vogue patterns and you have a Hancock Fabrics in your area, wait and catch them on sale. (Their circular is on their web site, and the sales tend to run around holidays--for example, McCall's are $0.99 for St. Patrick's Day.) Vogue patterns don't go on sale as often as the other brands, but a couple of times a year, they will reduce the price. IIRC, last time I bought a Vogue pattern, I got one from the formalwear/bridal section with a MSRP of $35 for $5--a big savings!

Joanns often has good pattern sales too. And when they are not on sale I use the coupons.
