    Stretchiness of Sharifwear tops?

I'm thinking of buying this set from maliaraqs:
Sharifwear.com - Bellydance clothing for divas - Salsa Wear, Gypsy, Tribal, Oriental, & Egyptian Belly Dancing

I'm wondering if the top would work to pull it down under a coin bra? Sort of like using it as a U top. Would this be likely to damage it, or is this not an uncommon way to wear it? I was hoping some of you might have done it and have pics. ..g.:

Some of the tops have an insane amount of stretch and I see many dancers wearing them like u-tops (I have too, but can't find pics right now), but I've seen that fabric before and IIRC, I don't think it had as much stretch as the lace or other fabrics...

    Hi Darbla,

I responded to your PM with this question; maybe it didn't go through? This top does have a good amount of stretch and should easily fit under a bra (particularly because it's the tie-front style). MaryRaks is right that it doesn't have as much as the lace fabric (which is SUUUPER stretchy), but I can *easily* tie it under a bra. If you like, I can always email you photos of it in this style.

I hope that answers your question!

My experience is that the Sharifwear tops are pretty stretchy and often cut generously rather. And they hold up well after washing many times. A real plus!

The stretch varies depending on the fabric, but most have quite a bit. I often wear these tops with dance bras and dresses. If you're going to do that, you might want to order down a size for a smoother line.
