Skincare for your neck
I notice lately that the skin on my neck is really aging badly, especially lately. It's getting all saggy and turkey waddle like and I am not even 40 yet! I blame my genetics. My grandmother had this super soft skin that was very prone to sags and wrinkles. I have no clue how to make it look better. Are there any firming products that work? I do moisturize my neck every day. I think I need to start saving for a face and neck lift. ,f::

If you want to drop a bundle LaPrairie is the best stuff on the market for anti-aging. But it is very costly. I don't know what else to recommend except something that is a firming cream. I use L'Oreal both day and night cream for "mature" skin and have found that it makes a difference. And you are doing the right thing by looking to treat it right away because I started noticing a couple of things this past year and found that these creams do help a lot.

Does your moisturizer have sunscreen in it, or do you use another sunscreen-containing product on your neck daily? If not, you should make sure that your neck gets sun protection, just as much as your face. It won't necessarily fix any damage that's already done, but if you haven't been doing this, it would help prevent further damage.

Go for 30.
Fahteim has use do what she calls shaving. Basically, she has the theory that men have less turkey neck issues because they shave. So while you warm up or cool down, stretch in the ways you see men stretch when they are shaving. I would add light pats as well. Ge the blood stimulating.
Also remember to moisturize like no ones business. Remember the neck and the back of the hands don't have sweat glands. So moisturizing is imperative.

Better yet, use a gentle exfoliator. It has the same effects shaving has for a man. And you won't nick yourself either.

62 year old here chiming in. I use the Loreal cream for mature thining skins on my neck plus Loreals recushioning serum. Seems to help. And I moisturize my neck several times a day. My dermatologist recommends spf 70 so I use Aveena's Postively Ageless spf 70 on my face, neck, back of hands, forearms.. It is very moisturizing.
Tips for performances. Don't wear choker type necklaces as they draw attention to throat. Necklace that draws eye farther down is better. Wear darker foundation on your throat and along the jawline. That causes it to visually receed. Hope this helps.Last edited by Souzan; 03-26-2010 at 05:49 PM.

I have decided to start wearing pearl 6 strand chokers like the Grand Dams of old Europe. Duchess Anala. Like a turtle neck made of bling.

I am thinking a long sleeve turtle neck in black mesh with an open bosom with a deep plunge. Why not?

Re: Skincare for your neck
Has anyone had any "work" done on her neck? The loose skin on mine makes me look ten years older than I am, and I'm thinking of having it tightened up someday. I'm afraid I'm beyond the help of lotions!

Re: Skincare for your neck
I was home sick not long ago and watched The Doctors show where they did a demo of neck lift tape. Little tape pieces that go under your hair under your ears with an elastic piece that goes around the back of your neck pulling the skin under the chin and the throat taut. Hair covers it up. Looks pretty cool.

Ok..so between the wig, the contacts, the fake ass, the fake lashes, the boob stuffing and now the elastic around the back of my neck and the tape behind my ears .... I am afraid to move.

Re: Skincare for your neck
Look at Paula's Choice products. I have found that exfolating with AHA and BHA (one morning, one night), using her antioxidant serum and moisturizing like crazy has firmed up and de-crepefied that area. Keep up the sunscreen.

Re: Skincare for your neck
i echo the "Paula's Choice" . I've used it for a few years cause it doesn't irritate my skin and most of their stuff doesn't make me break out. And her prices are good, and she totally says you have to wear sunscreen. I was getting turkey neck also---plus the large pores and lines above the lip. The BHA works on the upper lid, and i use "RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer
Normal to Dry Skin" under my eyes, on those lines down from bottom of nose to the outside of the lips and on my neck----it's great. i had been using a Vit. c serum for a few years---worked well, but this is better--1.7oz for $22.95. I'm using her new acne line which is good also. Most of her stuff is great.
