Thread: how many sequins to complete a bedlah?

Hi there,
I know this question has probably already been asked, but I'm unable to find the answer with the search function.

I'm trying to complete at least a bedlah with sequins and was trying to estimate the amounts I'd need since ordering is a major pain (I'm overseas).

Any help would be appreciated.

I once covered a bra & belt & used 4 different colours (to match the 4 different colours of the fabric). I ordered 1,000 of each sequin initially, and found that first order of 4,000 was just about enough to cover the bra, so I ordered another 1,000 of each to cover the belt.

Total = 8,000.

did you order the same for beads? did you attach the sequins with beads or just sequin on sequin. thanks for the estimate!

I always order more then what i think i need - this way i have extra's put away for repairs in the future.
Right now I'm re-beading my gold fringe i initially bought 4 tubes (about an ounce) and VERY quickly found out that this was NOT going to do. I now have a 1 pound bag here with me and to be honest will probably have to order more :(
Another mental note - i think i must have been out of my mind to think re-beading fringe would be fun!! 40" of 3" tube seed beads is NOT fun :D

I was just doing sequins, no beads.

Always buy 2-3 times more than you need.
ALWAYS! I have so learned this the hard way.
If you are covering something like a bra/belt I would buy the largest bag you can find times 3. You will have enough for repairs and you can also resell what you don't need.
