I've seen some on eBay. Can't speak for the quality, but they look beautiful.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
This is going to sound really odd, but I saw some awesome showgirl type bra and belt sets entirely made of rhinestone chain at the Fair Villa Megastore in Cape Canaveral. (It's basically a giant adult superstore). I'm guessing they might have taken a costume like that and tacked it onto some sort of base to make it workable for BD. I almost bought one, but my "To Do" pile is out of control right now ,r:;

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
When I was looking into bridal jewelry years ago I came across ronsrhinestones.com. Site is still up and there are some decent things to use as starters.
Never ordered from the site, so no idea of anything, but don't look whilst at work...there is some NSFW stuff there too, apparently he also does some stuff with Real Dolls.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
About those lingerie show girl rhinestone sets like satin was mentioning. I have owned a few of them. The quality of teh rhinestones are extremely poor. They lose shine quickly, fall out of their settings and come apart.
I am a costumer who does other things besides belly dance wear and I have worked in some large costume houses and have handled and worked on these kinds of costumes. If you want a rhinestone covered costume it is all about $$$$. You want to spend $1000's All the showgirl costumes in Vegas and the kind you see on film are all many many $1000's. They splurge on real stones and they are very heavy as well.
There really is no way to make an all rhinestone costume that will sparkle, stay together and stand the test of time without dropping big bucks.
We have it so good as belly dancers. Our costumes are super cheap compared to what ballroom dancers and showgirl venues spend.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
You might also look into designers who make and sell Vegas showgirl or Brazilian samba costumes. They won't be cheap, and unless you're commissioning a custom piece, you'll probably have to do some additional work to get it to "decency" standards, though.

There was an all rhinestone costume floating around on here for a while, it was made by Legend.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
Sim and Marta the Legend Luxury Line used to both make them, but neither one shows them anymore. Topkapi made one that was almost the same, I think, but with more fabric showing between the rows of stone. (their online catalog has looked the same for years, they may still have it on their site?)
Marta the Legend (not the same thing as Legend Costumes) seems to have changed their line dramatically in the past few years. But I wonder if Sim would make one if you ordered it?

Pharonics also had a set studded with rhinestones. Amira called it the diamanté costume.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
SIM Moda Evi makes pur Rhinstone-costumes....one for me is in work now....I have ordered it, if I was in istanbul. And I have had one in former time, but sold it, because I dislike bra and belt-costumes. And I get a new other design yet.

Sandra used to have one of the Sim ones. I think Lucy may have bought it from her? A Bhuzzer bought it, anyway. It was red...

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
Those are pretty but i wouldn't consider them rhinestone covered. Just more like all the decoration was rhinestone.
I was thinking more along the lines of Liberace's car
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_VVu8p2zqSkg/Sa...0/CIMG0353.JPG
Jillina has a costume like that.
And you have got to be careful too cause you can't tell what the stone quality is like. At Rakkasah I was looking at all the giant stones os some of the designer costumes and they were scratched and old. Like they had been re-purposed from something that never sold.
You can buy rhinestone sheeting. Plastic set or prong set. It is expensive. Maybe $100+ per yard but it is usually about 6" wide. If you bought 2 yards I bet you couls make a full costume. Hey wait! Maybe I should do that! duh!Last edited by eshtabellydance; 03-29-2010 at 08:45 AM.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
But they are "100% rhinestone" as the OP requested. No other decoration, ie beads, sequins, coin.
The SIM one is actually quite encrusted, although Sandra said she requested a little edge of fabric color showing at the edges on her specific costume (the one Lucy is wearing) because she felt like it looked better against her skin. I wish there was a pic of the bra of that costume.
The Topkapi one, as I said in my first post, has a lot more fabric showing than the Sim one but follows the same only-rhinestone concept.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
Honestly I don't know where to get it online but I have seen it downtown. A quick google search turned this up:
www.diytrade.com/.../rhinestone_mesh.html
The stuff I see all the time is like this but wider.

Re: 100% rhinestone costumes
I am making a costume like this, I will try to post some pics of the construction.
I highly recommend the super-wide rhinestone mesh, it is flexible and drapey.
It is super expensive but it is worth it, the bling and sparkle is amazing!!!
I bought mine in the garment district in New York, I do not know a good online source either, but I see the stuff in the shops in NY.
