Clip-In Bangs
I'm considering getting some clip-in bangs to wear. I've tried the 'no bang' look but I look better with. I have a couple of bald patches at my temples..cr.: and my own bangs have thinned out due to medication and some auto-immune hairloss. I have found a few different types online, but has anyone tried any? Do you have a brand recommendation? I do wear hairpieces and full wigs for dancing but these would be mainly for everyday wear so I want them to look more natural. If you have photos I would love to see them. Thanks.

Re: Clip-In Bangs
I have these fake bangs Forever Young Sleek Finish Synthetic Hairpiece • Forever Young and i LOVE them. They are very quick and stay even through backbends (though I do wear a headband with them for extra security) I have washed them a lot and they stay shiny and thick. I have friends who have gotten the Jessica Simpson ones and they said that after a wash they didn't look the same.

Cheekylauren, are yours straight across or do they have the longer side bits?

Re: Clip-In Bangs
I´ve worked as a hair stylist and suffer from male pattern alopecia myself,so maybe I can help...
For the best value/price I like "Fringe Flair "from Amore(René of Paris)for a discreet look.
The base is really small and thin yet gives cover and a thin/medium fringe(*not* thick)
For everyday use the quality needs to be better,so either try out bangs or a topper in a wigstore,or order a color ring to get a good match.
Better pay 60$ for a good piece than buy several for 20$ that turn out to look wiggy so you don´t want to wear them...
Good quality synthetic hair is multiple length and color tones+thinned out in the ends+darker roots like real hair.
instead of the tell tale look you get from hair all one length+one color.
.
Tony of Beverly made a great little piece that gave slightly more cover than the "Fringe Flair"called "Mono-T".
Perfect to customize for bangs...this US seller may have some left:
Tony of Beverly Additions : Mono-T - LOWEST PRICES ON WIGS - GUARANTEE
The topper pieces have larger bases and are some of the best selling items in wig salons, yet almost no one seem to know they exist!Louis Ferre,Alan Eaton,Jon Renau all make good top pieces.
Toppers are very similar to closing pieces used for hair weaving, except they are not sewn in:
Remi T Closure - GRD5 - Top Closure Piece Specialty Product | Laissez Faire Hair
A good little secret for girls who suffer from hair loss.

Re: Clip-In Bangs
I have the Jessica simpson ones. And they are not that bad. They are not meant ot be washe dall the time though. They have the longer pieces at the sides and i have only used them twice but they look good when its summer and i want to put my hair up in a ponytail. the one ckeey "lauren" has i have seen in person and are awesome! I would consider those more than mine due to the wash factor.

Yes.Here are some pictures of how it can look in advanced stages and after "tricks".
Women Gallery
I was already a MUA and nail tech when I started losing hair so I sought medical help and wig pros instead of taking supplements.
(Rogaine has "filled in" thin spots after 5 years of use)
Most women and men in media are wearing discreet "hair helpers",news presenters for example.
Stars who have plastic fantastic toupées,bad weaves, glued lace front wigs or ratty extensions are easy to spot but good solutions need a detective:)

Re: Clip-In Bangs
It was devastating to learn that not only are PCOS women often overweight, hairy, pimply girls with thinning hair...becoming moms is hard and often needs IVF help.
Oh your poor brother!Hope he has come to terms with the spots now?
I was a grown up that didn´t have any teasing kids around me+my stepdaughter and hubby has been with me 11 years now and don´t care about my hairdo or hairdon´t

Re: Clip-In Bangs
My baldie bits are at the sides of my bangs and are very round, shiney patches of no hair. They are auto-immune related to Lichen Planipolaris. I am lucky that it seems to be in remission and hasn't progressed. My sister has some form of alopecia with very thin and patchy hair, plus no body hair. She even has to do her eyebrows and wear false eyelashes. I am just starting Methotrexate for Rheumatoid Arthritis (more auto-immune) and one of the side effects of that is hair loss.
What are you refering to here? "...PCOS women often overweight, hairy, pimply girls with thinning hair...becoming moms is hard and often needs IVF help."

Aha!I see...happy to hear it´s not getting worse for you.
One of the best resources on the Internet about hair loss help is Wig Support:
Wig Support - Support for People Experiencing Hair Loss
Lots of info on clip-on bangs and toppers, the members post their own pictures and reviews.
PCOS(or PCOD)is an endocrine disorder that often gives women apple-shaped overweight(beer belly)oily acneic skin and thinning hair due to masculinizing hormones roaming.
