ok, so i've been dying to get a pair of these forever. my 2 best friends are really against me buying them :(
are they really that hideous? i think they are funky and i would wear a longer top over them.

you're talking for everyday wear, not bellydance, right? ... I have some - I love them ... but then, I have no problem with my style being out there (I'm also a singer in a rock band and have very little occasion to need to 'keep up appearances' - so it may depend on your social circle) ... you can't be the slightest bit timid about wearing something like that or it will show through. they are definitely attention getters ... and I always wear a top that goes past the crotch ;-) ... leave anything shorter w/ those type of pants for the likes of outrageous celebs

With a longer top and killer legs, I think they'd be HAWT! I have body image issues with my legs, so I won't be getting them, but you should go for it!

I have a pair and love them - I would stick to black though! And quality is a massive issue for me - if these go wrong, they look REALLY bad - I splurged and bought the 'it' pair that stylists put on the celebs who started the look. I get so many compliments on the way my butt looks in them :) Gotta say, I'm glad that I splurged, and when the time comes, I'd buy another pair of those ons, as I really don't like the cheaper ones I have seen on the highstreet as much. However, I actually dare to wear them with shorter tops, so you see lots of leg, quality is probably not as important if you wear long tops.

I have a black pair and a silver pair that I wear under beledi dresses for dance when I don't want a full harem look.

I bought a pair not that long ago, I love them and feel fabulous in them. Mine are more metalskin finish than liquid. You can find all kinds at American Apparel, if there's one near you.

And I wore mine under a thobe for khaleegi, along with a little black dress :-)

I think they're super hot and you should get a pair and work it when you wear them. :)

Yup, that's what I did recently with a gold pair - perfect for my sword dance floorwork.

But you'd never catch me wearing them in everyday life - not with my generous rear end! ..c::

If your legs are perfect, sure. I couldn't do it. My butt might look good in them, but not these thighs. And I also don't look good in the long, loose tops that seem to be their best partner.

I have a pair of golden pants like that! I wore them once to two nightclubs (on the same night) and got a TON of compliments at both places!
I am comfortable with the compliments but definitely a lot of people will stare... and I always feel a little awkward when I know someone is starring at my legs (or anywhere else, really), but it's also so much fun wearing those pants! And once I start dancing I really don't care...
So I'll say go for it!

i like them..i know i would get a lot of flack for wearing them too.. but i think as bellydancers, we tend to experiment with fashion a lot more (i know i do) . i'm not concerned with wearing giant flowers or peacock feathers in my hair, crazy earrings, or something utterly blinged out in my day to day life and a lot of people like that!

I say do it, who cares what other people think.. they secretly wish they had the guts to pull it off.

I dig them and have a silver bulleted long tank that would look killer with those..

ive seen some in a nice gold/brown shade and they looked awesome. would love to find a pair like that

Honestly, i don't like liquid leggings like the picture shows ..c::, i personally thought that thin black Soft leggings more sexy. It depends on yourself hobby. May be it is hot ,r:;

The mall I work in has several teeny bopper stores that sell them cheap I got few pair to wear underneath my costumes, but for everyday wear hell no I lost that privilege a couple years back when my butt got too big.. ..l;,

I was just looking at the "wet look" lycra in the fabric store and wondering how it would look as a straight-cut beladi dress. It's a nice heavy weight and could be decorated up beautifully.
