Bring me the Rainbow...
...in an eyeshadow palette that is! I've been watching some youtube makeup tutorials and i've noticed that some of the girls (and guys!) own these huge palettes with every colour of eyeshadow you can imagine!

now, i found something like that in boots when i went to london, but sadly all the shadows contained loads of tiny glitter particles which really annoys me :( i'm looking for something matte, bringt, high quality yet not overpriced. i know, it's alot to ask for, but do you know where i can order one online?
i really appreciate your help
xx

Re: Bring me the Rainbow...
Samiramirage posted this thread a while ago. I bought one of the same (smaller size, 68), and I have to agree that the texture of the product is great, stays all day, no irritation and the price is ridiculously cheap!
I'm planning to buy an other one eventualy, maybe the big 120 size.

On eBay:
120 pro palette, Health Beauty, Everything Else. Great deals on eBay!
Very fast shipping BTW.

Re: Bring me the Rainbow...
Wow! That sounds like the kind of thing that if I saw it un-reviewed, I wouldn't go near it with a ten-foot pole because I'd expect it to be poorly pigmented junk. But with a dancer's good review AND the appearance of the colors brushed onto someone's arm in an online review I saw...I might just have to invest in this! And by "invest," I mean, "fritter away a few measly bucks!" :D

Have you tried Sephora on line? They have their own brand with a gazillion colors in a flat compact case ....

Re: Bring me the Rainbow...
A word of warning on the Sephora stuff: the big ol' palette isn't all that awesome. I got one for my sister one year for Christmas, and she was really excited about it, but got disappointed when she found out that the shadows weren't very highly pigmented. It might be OK for everyday makeup, but I think that for stage, you want really richly pigmented stuff.
I wonder if Make Up For Ever makes a big palette. That would really be something!

This is what you are looking for Coastal Scents
I have the Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette it is high pigment and wears like a dream. I do have trouble getting it to stick and apply with a loose brush so I use a classic sponge eye shadow brush or my finger.

Re: Bring me the Rainbow...
I have found the super-pigmented ones (sold under ProFusion and other names) for sale dirt-cheap at Ross, of all places. They're an incredible bargain!
If you need a flashy-eye-makeup fix with immediate gratification, Walgreens has $3 off L'Oreál HIP and Studio Secrets right now. It's not quite as great as their buy-one-get-one sales, but still tempting. Every HIP product I've tried so far has been well worth buying.

Yes. Boo to that! I loved that blush. Everything I like gets itself discontinued, actually, so I should probably stop using the good stuff out of consideration for the rest of you.

You can also create your own palette at MAC by ordering eyeshadows in pans rather than the full packaging and a palette to put them in, they sell the palettes in 4 and 16 shadow sizes. I find I like the 4 shadow palettes better because their lids are clear, so I can easily see a variety of shadows as I'm thinking out my makeup.

I agree with Badriya. That is what I do. I think I have five of the 16 shadow palettes and I love them. I divide them according to colors - neutrals, darks, pinks, greens and blues, other brights.

Ditto with the MAC palettes...I organize mine in color families also. They sell them in 6, 9 (I think) and 15 color palettes.

Re: Bring me the Rainbow...
Interestingly, a lot of the higher end make-up sold in the US is made in Germany and France. And, given that I trust EU controls more than their US equivalents, I'd try to find something at e.g. Douglas. No idea what they are like now, but that's the first equivalent to stores like Ulta and Sephora that comes to my mind.
