I don't know but she's lovely and great costumes!

Looks to me like a dress with some mesh in the sides and back.

I too have seen, admired and wondered about Tanyeli's belly covers. What I'm wondering is, are they actually cut in an hourglass shape, or is it just a rectangle of stretchy mesh that's been stretched out at the ends where it's attached to the costume and is less stretched toward the center, thus creating the hourglass look. I've been meaning to try experimenting with mesh fabrics to figure this out but of course have not gotten around to it. Anyone -?

The Costume Goddess features this kind of thing in one of her books She uses a stretch lace lingerie body suit and cuts out portions leaving the bra part and the pantie part and hourglass shape in front torso.

I'd think you'd have to cut in the hourglass shape. In order to get the fabric to do that otherwise, you'd have to stretch it fairly taut, and that wouldn't be as comfortable for dancing.

I feel like I've seen some lingerie like that. I would search, but I'm at work.

Bummer I can't see the video, but yes, Ralph Lauren had crocheted swimsuits, that had an hourglass shape over the middriff.

OH MY GAWD! Yes, yes, yes! I love my curves, most of the time, but my three boys left war wounds that just don't need to be seen by the GP. Although I do, I hate stuffing myself like a sausage into a full cover. Those are hot!! I am going to look her up and email. Will post if I receive a response! Thanks for posting that vid!!
