If you've bought an LRose skirt with slits on each side...
...was it similar to what Satin is wearing in a pic in this thread?
http://www.bhuz.com/forum/bellydance...ebay-soon.html
I'm talking about the professional skirts made from two half-panels in back and one half-panel in front. I can't tell from the pics on the LRosedesigns.com site how the slits might fall, and I even went thru their gallery of photos to try to find one like it. The skirts they show as examples with the sale listings look like they're not slit at all.

I'm staying tuned to this thread! I love revealing, old-school kinda skirts, but I bought that one from a former teacher who made it herself. Wondering where I can get more!

I knew I couldn't be the only one looking for these skirts. ..g.:
There's another style of skirt I love, and that's these multi-layered / petal type that Ansuya wears a ton of.
Red skirt here:

Blue here:

2nd and 3rd video here:

Maybe I should start another thread for those...

Gaylene of Gaylene's Boutique sells full circle skirts. She would probably make a 1.5 circle skirt on special order. (lilegypt1@aol.com). Also Kathi of Simply Stylish Belly Dance Attire - Welcome. (kathi@simplystylish.us).

Re: If you've bought an LRose skirt with slits on each side...
I've bought circle skirts from L Rose before. My main complaint with them is that they don't hang them before they get hemmed. Then when you wear it or hang it yourself, the hem gets all wonky. I make my own now. It's really not hard and I get to choose my fabric.
The way they make them is that they sew the two back half panels together, then put all three panels together on an elastic waistband. You can slide the panels around to suit your liking on the amount of leg you show. You can squish the front panel together to make large openings over each thigh, or leave all the panels spread out together for less leg.

I have a chiffon l rose professional style double split skirt and second what shahla says - the slits are moveable, which is a must for me. The chiffon is VERY see through though. I have a high tolerance for revelaing costumes, but harems or another skirt underneath really are a must!

Re: If you've bought an LRose skirt with slits on each side...
I dont have pictures but I have a costume that I wear with a layer for 2 skirts, the top in a silk 2 half circle panels in back and one in front, the under skirt in chiffon with 2 half circle panels in back, all completely slit up the sides. It is excellent. The top skirt has a lot of fullness and I have a lot of flexibility adjusting the coverage of my legs because of the extra volume in back, and I can do various tucking scenarios. I really like it - I think it is a lot better and more versatile than just a skirt of 2 half-circle panels. Go for it!
