Please help me identify a designer!

I recently bought a Turkish costume on ebay and I love the fit of the bra. It had a tag at one point, but it has been cut out-what is remaining are the letters AKSIM (Taksim????) on the bottom inner edge. I would love to identify the designer so I know where to go if I would like to purchase another one at some point. I have been told it could be either a sim or a legend-by the looks, but since this is my first Turkish costume, I have no idea.

You look lovely, hope you find the designer - or maybe someone can make you a similar one?

I googled a bit and found out that "Legend costumes" is in the Taksim area in Istanbul. I have never seen any Legend tag, but it could be that they include the address or the area name on it.
Also Sim moda is in "Aksaray" so depending on how the letters look it could be like:
    Ak - saray
    Sim- moda evi
I have never seen a sim tag either so these are just suggestions by a curious soul :)

Gisela, Thanks so much for doing some "detecting"!!!! I really appreciate it. The letters appear as all capitals and all squished together so now I am curious to see a label from legend costumes as this sounds most probable. Thanks again!!!! I'm almost about to send a picture to the designer and ask...but if its not that may be offensive??? I don't know???

Hmmm....I just checked my Legend and the tag on the inside that says "Shimi".

It looks almost like a Sim, but a little too minimalistic. Bear in mind, there are probably tons of no-name designers in Istanbul, as well!

And we're roughly the same size, so please think of me when you're done with this gorgeous mystery costume ..l;,

Sure thing Satin:). I thought about the possibility of this not being a "designer" per say-or at least one without a name...but I'm kinda thinking that is not the case. It did have a tag, which I know would be unusual for a no-name, plus the dancer I bought this from bought it directly from Asena in Turkey who said it belonged to another well known Turkish dancer.

From my understanding Legend costumes have two lines-shimi and Luxury line from Marta the legend. I think it could also still be a sim. The workmanship is top notch and all those little shiny bits are sewn on rhinestones!!! So it has huge swarovskis and tiny sewn on rhinestones all over it. However, it is a used costume, and my guess is that it is several years old-it does show wear and tear. I have seen minimalist costumes from both Legend and Sim. But who knows? That's why I'm trying to find out-lol!

It looks similar to the style of Sim moda evi but "sim" has a translation that means something like garnment or fabric I think. There are some less known designers, that also have "Sim" in their name.

I once owned a Sim with tag but I sold it and don't remember what was written on it. It was a very simple black on white printed tag.

Legend has Shimi written on the tag, gold on silver stitching.

Re: Please help me identify a designer!

Mahira-there is not too much tag left to photograph-otherwise I certainly would have done that-I'm sure it would have helped;)!

Sha-ri-thanks for clarifying-I used the word sim not realizing that it is probably a word used more as a description and other designers use it as well. I indeed was of thinking Sim Moda Evi. And the tag is white with remaining black letters that are all capitals in the lower right hand corner that again read "AKSIM". Sigh...the mystery continues!

Did you ask the seller if she knows where it came from? If she bought it 2nd hand maybe she knows that person - sometimes back-detective tracking works..g.:
