Thread: MAC has disc. Strada! Eek! Lookalikes?

OMG!!! I'm cursed! Whenever I like something, it gets discontinued. Got the sad news today, when I went to MAC to re-purchase as I finished my STrada some months ago. Well, the store didn't have it, nor did any pro MAC stores. I found some on eBay, but I am *not* shelling 50$ USD for a blush

Would you know of a knockoff/lookalike for Strada? Ideally in the same price range as MAC or lower.

They showed me "Tenderling" which is supposed to be the replacement but it's way to yellow/orangish for me.

I use the accentuate/sculpt duo by Mac, and Mac's emote is also similar (both are discontinued, but just thought I'd let you know about them in case you happen on one).

Do you use it as a blush or for contouring? I'm not sure you'll find anything really similar unless mac repromotes it, as it was a very unique shade, but you might find something that does the job you used it for, even though it looks different, if that makes sense!

actually - i just looked online and strada may now be a pro product...have a look on the pro site, it looked like it might still be on sale there...

I used it as a contour. I've asked at the pro shop and they said it wasn't available in Canada anymore. :( That's the other reason I want to find a lookalike: so I don't have to jump through hoops next time I need to re-purchase. I was at the drugstore the other day and Revlon's "Blushing" shade seems close, but nowhere near lookalike status.

I've checked Sephora's line but no luck. I wonder if NYX or COastal Scents would have something similar?

I know that some people like Mac taupe or harmony as a contour. They definitely aren't dupes, but they might be worth a shot to see if they work for you as an alternative. I am a bit bummed strada has moved to pro too, as that was my planned backup color to try when I ran out of accentuate/sculpt!

I discovered *three* bottles of MAC Hyper Real in NC150 while digging through by makeup tack boxes so at least one will go to the Swap Meet "break-up sale":D
