    Where to wear armbands?

Yes, I know, on my arms! But after that I am confused. I am talking about the basic plain stretch lycra sleevelet or armband. Is there a "correct" position on the arms? I have seen them above the elbow, right smack dab on the elbow, just below the elbow and just above the wrist. Or is it a matter of personal preference and what looks best on your arms? Does the length matter?

I think it's a matter of personal preference and finding the placement that's most flattering to your arm shape.

I tend to wear mine centred on the elbow. I have broad shoulders, and wearing them lower (e.g. at the wrist) creates one solid visual line across the shoulders from the top of one armband to the other that I find unflattering on me. I've use this placement with medium-length (~7") and long (~11") armbands. With shorter armbands, I might give upper arm placement a try.

it also depends on the size and shape. For actual arm bands, I tend to wear them asymetrically. One on the upper arm, on on the same wrist and then lots of bracelets on the opposite wrist. And an ankle band on the ankle which is showing.

"Gauntlets" depend on the costume as well. Many times I only wear one.

Try it, experiment, have fun. There is really no right or wrong.

yheah, wherever you like. if you have broad shoulders avoid wearing them directly over your biceps, it makes a line with the bra. so long as where you put them looks intentional, not like one of them just fell down, you can put them anywhere and in any combination ^_^

See there, I do wear mine on my biceps pretty much in line with my bra. Because my hips are so much wider than my bustline, making me look narrow on top, I like using the armbands (2-3") at that level to balance my top & bottom.

So basically, it's just a matter of personal preference. Play around & find out what looks best on you for each costume & armband style.
