Thread: Another discontinued MAC product...?

Does anyone know if MAC sells their discontinued products online? I'm looking for a cremestick liner in "plum soft," and it appears to have been discontinued. I hate it when make-up companies do that without telling us. I feel so betrayed. :Aohmy:

You can sometimes get discontinued items on Ebay. New, not used, I mean! (Although I have occasionally seen people selling "hardly used" cosmetics - ew!)

You can check on the MAC website under "Goodbyes". The recently discontinued items can still be found there. Also, sometimes they make some items only available to the PRO members, so get a PRO card if you don't have one already.

Also try Makeupalley. You can usually find brand new products for swap.

This is disappointing but not surprising news. They have discontinued so many tried and true products in the interest of fads and sales and they have the cajones to charge for their discount program, pros and consumers alike.
I have seen many discontinued items on eBay as well. They're all pretty decent and it is worth a look-see.

They better not discontinue Russian Red, is all I can say. *glowers at MAC*

You know what, I am pretty sure that back in the day, one of MAC's selling points was that it would never discontinue a colour. Of course that was before the takeover.

If they ever do, Zumarrad, Make Up For Ever makes luscious reds and one of them is reasonably similar to Russian Red. I'll have to look for the shade number when I get home.

Also, Lipstick Queen's Sinner Red is awesome.

We don't have those brands here, alas. I do like to try a lipstick before I buy it.
