Covering a bra
After getting lots of inspiration today I'm considering covering a bra. So I'm looking for any tips/suggestions. What worked for you? What didn't. I am a good hand sewer so that's not a problem. I have quilted, done embroidery & a little of beading. I tried searching for threads dealing with covering bras, but couldn't find anything. I'm sure it's there & i'm just not looking hard enough...

Re: Covering a bra
I used Embellished Bras by Dawn Devine Brown the first time I tried to cover a bra. I've made some adjustments to her system, but over all, it's the best place to start.

Re: Covering a bra
yeah i'm pretty good at hand sewing. i'm enjoying reading all the different tutorials & i'm finding them very helpful.
heading to value village after work tonight to look for materials i can upcycle for covering the bra. my main goal will be to find stretchy material to cover the bra with as i've heard it's the easiest for newbies & i'm going to look for stuff i can upcycle as bling for beading the bra. whatever beads & stuff i can't find at value village i'll get at michaels. i have stiff fabric at home to use for the sides so that's not a problem. i have a feeling this is going to be very interesting...lol.
