    Smile Replacing a lining?

Have got a costume, the bra & belt could do with freshening up, bit of a clean.
Thought about trying to wash/clean it somehow but don't want to ruin it as it is quite an expensive costume.
So i thought about replacing the lining, is that easy to do, don't know where to start, don't really do many adjustments or repairs?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Re: Replacing a lining?

It's super easy to replace the lining. Snip out the old one and use it as a pattern for the new one. Cut out the pieces, pin it back inside and do a simple whip stitch to hold it in place.

    Re: Replacing a lining?

I don't even use the old lining as a pattern. Just rough measurements. I also use tee shirt fabric. The sleeves make great lining for the bra! Curve already cut!

Thanks to you both for advice.

Very useful to know that it is quite simple to do.

    Thanks.

    Re: Replacing a lining?

Before you replace the lining, give the inside of the bra a nice spritz with either vodka/water or something else to kill any bacteria. Let it dry for a day or three and then replace the lining.
